Bailiffs have a tough guy image that is tough to shake given the history of less than agreeable employer and employee culture in the bailiffs industry, according to Jamie Waller. Waller started up his own debt recovery and asset protection company, JBW Group in 2004.  Six years later, and aged just 31, JBW Group has a turnover of £10m (2009) and around 150 employees.

 

Waller in recent years presented a BBC television programme on the bailiffs industry and culture and how he is trying to turn it around to a more respectable business sector that educates rather than bullies.
